Henkel Asia Pacific Service Centre (HAPSC) donated laptops to Habitat for Humanity Philippines’ ReStore in Las Piñas City and to a Habitat community in Tanza, Navotas, as part of their corporate social responsibility commitment to further enrich lives of Filipinos.
Henkel’s social engagement – or corporate citizenship – is strongly embedded in the company’s core values, playing a vital role in their global success since nearly 140 years. The company’s sustainability strategy, achieving more with less, extends not only with the diverse range of brands that they manufacture, but also to their corporate social responsibility activities.
Henkel supports social projects from around the world in various fields such as social needs, education and science, fitness and health, arts and culture, and the environment.
“Other than our day-to-day business, Henkel is dedicated to sustaining partnerships in building communities and transforming lives of each and every juan,” says Geraldine Aro-Pinuela, Manager of Integrated Business Solutions Governance and Head of CSR Team for Henkel Philippines.
In addition to their initial donation, Henkel has also committed itself to the Habitat for Humanity organization by sending volunteers to different local communities to help improve the surrounding area. Activities include painting hundreds of homes.
“We thank Henkel for their generous donation and support to Habitat and to the communities that we’ve both helped,” says Charlie Ayco, Managing Director and CEO of Habitat for Humanity Philippines. “We’re grateful to have them as one of our partners in building healthy and sustainable communities.”
