MANILA (January 20h, 2016)
AIG Philippines Insurance, Inc.  (“AIG”) generously turned over another two cheques worth more than Php 1.1 million to Habitat for Humanity Philippines at a ceremony last December 15, 2015.The funds donated will  benefit the families affected by Typhoon Yolanda in 2013, now living at the AIG community in Barangay Margen.

"We looked at this as being a long-term partnership and something we want to continue doing for that community.  Our role as insurers drives our passion to build resilient and strong foundations for communities,”   said Mark Lwin, President and CEO, of AIG Philippines Insurance.

In addition, AIG would like to commit volunteer hours through an employee-based corporate responsibility program, providing holistic community development.

"This further solidifies our fruitful partnership with AIG, where together we can continue to build more communities, and transform more lives of Filipino families in need," said Charlie Ayco, Managing Director and CEO of Habitat for Humanity Philippines.

Last July 2015, aligning with its philanthropic advocacies as an insurance company, AIG  donated 63 homes in Brgy. Margen in Leyte whose home partners families were affected by Super Typhoon Yolanda (international name: Haiyan). AIG’s additional donations will be used to fund a community center building for the residents of Barangay Margen.
